Cumberland County Playhouse’s 45th season opens Jan. 24 with Academy Award and Tony Award-winning On Golden Pond, starring prominent film and TV actor Steve Ayers as crotchety “old poop” Norman Thayer, the great Henry Fonda’s final role.
Ayers has appeared with Tom Cruise, Carroll O’Connor, Andy Griffith and many other stars on feature films, plus TV series including Matlock, In the Heat of the Night, and Dawson’s Creek.
